Lucky

After last week's blah I decided to think about something a bit happier.....

I think I am actually very lucky...I love my job. Sure sometimes it absolutely sucks and I get over it but deep down I LOVE it!! I get to make a difference in kid's lives every day - I watch them as the knowledge clicks and they realise they they can read, or count by 2s or write their own story or whatever and it is so powerful to see. I love the look in a child's eye when they have struggled and struggled with a new concept and then the cloud lifts and it becomes clear to them.

I love that my kids value me as a person in their lives - remember I teach 5 and 6 year olds!!- and that I can watch them grow and develop and encourage them on the way.

And because I have taught in the same school for so long I REALLY get to see them grow.. from Kindy to Year 6 and into high school and I am really proud of the people that I have helped produce.

So even though I have the odd blah week - it's actually a pretty good gig!!

So maybe I can get up and do it all again tomorrow!!!

A blah kind of week......

It sure has been......feral kids at school (I'll blame the full moon for that one)sick kid at home, too much to do with not enough time or motivation to do it.

Just basically blah....

There is some good news though...I had a call today and I have an interview for the new job I applied for. So now I need to get a 2 page written statement organised and work out how to convince them I am a star at coordinating technology when the computers I work with are mainly running Windows 98 (if I'm lucky! Some are still Windows 95!!) if they work at all!!!!! LOL

Oh well..I'm sure I can find sufficient waffle to fill the page!

Happy 88th birthday to my Grandmother - who won't be reading this but it's the thought that counts!

And if I don't get back to the blog before hand...good luck to my favourite gorilla Beth in the City to Surf!!!

Everyday Moments

href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/4294/2197/1600/trixie%2036002.jpg">
It is so not like me to commit to a long term project (just ask anyone who has ever been in a CJ with me!) but I am really captured by this competition. I thought I would share one of my layouts so far (and yep, it's for the family theme!) which I am really happy with.

I am loving the smaller size, I am loving the kraft background and I am loving using up my massive stash!!! And I am not joking when I say massive - I have filled a Craftainers 12x12 box with papers from the sponsors. (insert embarrassed picture here!!)

Of course, I have done no scrapping except for these album pages, but you can't have it all I suppose!

In non-scrapping news......

Wish me luck as I should hear in the next couple of days if I get an interview for a new job...well, same job, new school, closer to home. It's a long shot but you can only give it a go.

Night all....happy census taking for tomorrow..............

Ok...OK..I'll blog!!!

Well here I am at last!!!!!!!!!

It may not be fancy, it may not look pretty and it may not be at all interesting but I will give it a go anyway! LOL!

If nothing else...all those people I know will have someone to tag that they have never tagged before!!!!!

I suppose I should introduce myself.....Kath - 33 - wife to Adam, mum to Georgia - Kindergarten teacher - scrapper - lover of exclamation marks (see above) - and now blogger.

And now..I will just sit back and hope I am not talking to myself....................................
